Palladium is a rare, soft and dense silvery white metal which is named after the asteroid Pallas. Platinum Bullion is hard to mine and takes several tons of core meterial to produce a single 1 troy ounce bar.
This makes palladium a rare and saught after investment. Athough we are in a recession the price of Palladium has dropped significantly. Main reasons being that palladium is used in catalytic convertors. As the economy slows down, people buy less cars and demand for platinum decreases. But once the economy picks up palladium should follow the trend and rise also.
Although buying semi precious metals like platinum and palladium is more risky than gold or silver. The fact remians there is still demand for it. And in future years the demand is set to grow. With major jewellery retailers aiming to push Palladium as the new white gold. Only time will tell, but in my eyes palladium bullion in all its forms is a great buy today!.
